The tall defender Always dangerous at set pieces, per usual, could serve as an alternative for Stones in the backline instead of alongside him. A careless pass in the second half almost led to a goal for Albania. Six

Nico O’Reilly One more composed display from the 20-year-old after his first cap against Serbia. A teammate was unable to take full advantage of a clever touch over their defense. The role is his to lose so soon. 7

Adam Wharton His maiden beginning for his country. Slightly loose when playing out though his dangerous corners posed a danger. An effective tempo-setter for the boss to utilize against teams who drop deep. Cautioned after a reckless challenge. 6

Declan Rice Crosses on corner kicks and set-plays were dangerous. Enjoyed freedom to drift down the left flank but was offside upon receiving with a chance to score. Granted a well-earned break on the hour mark. 6/10

Jude Bellingham Operated in a forward spot down the right and also did plenty of dirty work. Demonstrated flashes of quality and dragged an effort over. Substituted towards the end by a teammate, his competition, after receiving a caution. 7

The winger Had the team's best chance of the first half, his strike smartly stopped by Thomas Strakosha. As Quansah staying deep, he had to offer an outlet down the right side yet his deliveries from the touchline varied in quality. Substituted for the final quarter-hour. 6/10

Harry Kane The difference-maker with his 77th and 78th finishes for his country. The opener a classic close-range tap-in while the second a superb headed goal following a clever run away from the opposition. At 32, he’s only getting better and England are strong contenders next summer with him up top. 8

The attacker Found it tough to get into the game out wide. Had a decent opportunity when set up by the midfielder but Strakosha denied him. His replacement had a greater effect after coming on. 5
