Iranian Forces State Assault on US Base in Bahrain, Amid Widespread Military Operations.
Iranian forces say they have struck a American military facility in Manama, as the country executed strikes across the region in response for a "massive" and continuing attack against it by the United States and Israeli forces.
Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an area in the area of the headquarters of the American Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The extent of any damage is not yet known and the US has yet to issue a statement.
Airspace Engagements
Elsewhere across the region, the UAE, Qatar and the State of Kuwait - all home to US military bases - reported they have intercepted incoming projectiles in their air space.
In the Qatari capital, the Qatari Ministry of Defence announced it had intercepted a number of projectiles seemingly aimed at the Al Udeid Air Base, the largest American base in the region.
Iran's Declared Retaliation
Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated it was striking US bases and assets as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the strikes on the Islamic Republic launched by the US and Israel on Saturday.
That initial attack - launched at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far targeted areas associated with the the regime, with President Trump urging the people of Iran to rise up against the regime.
Additional Developments
In Israel, sirens were heard across the country after the Israeli military said it had identified an barrage of missiles from Iran.
The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates announced that the country has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems responded to the projectiles with great effectiveness and successfully intercepted a series of missiles," it added.
Officials reported missile fragments landed in a populated district in Abu Dhabi, causing some structural damage and the death of one civilian.
The United States Air Force operates from Al Dhafra Air Base, to the south of Abu Dhabi, along with the Emirati Air Force.
