Devoted fans of the actress are calling for that a man who jumped a fence and seized the actress during the recent Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.

A viral video shows the individual from Australia shoving aside camera operators and lunging at Grande while the performers proceeded down a event pathway accompanied by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo immediately wrested the surprised actress away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being led away of the event by security officers.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "let go after being taken in", though legal records indicated that he was set to be present on the following morning. It is not clear if he was charged.

History of Incidents

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a performance. His Instagram account includes videos of him disrupting other high-profile occasions, including jumping on stage at the artist's Sydney performance in recently and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers performance in the city last December.

"Measures must be taken applied against him as this is evidently a criminal offence," stated an Instagram user, in a response to a video Mr Wen posted of his act.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" a different Instagram user wrote.

Fans Show Disapproval Over the Star's Past Trauma

Several fans blamed Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had revealed suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a devastating incident at the conclusion of her spring 2017 concert in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and harming numerous individuals.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" said another response on Instagram.

Several supporters also faulted security officers at the gathering for not being adequately prepared; while some demanded online networks to ban Mr Wen's uploads.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In videos circulating online, Grande looked startled when she was touched by the man. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by guards.

Grande has remained silent on the situation, and the rest of the event proceeded as normal.

Hundreds of Singapore supporters had lined up to see the performers of Wicked

Many of attendees had assembled in a mass of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good regional launch in a Singapore venue, including several who had queued for as long as eight hours before it commenced.

The film, to be released on November 21, is the follow-up of a two-film adaptation of the well-known Broadway and West End production Wicked, which revolves around the unexpected relationship between two distinct witches.

The show itself is a spin-off of the 1900 children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was decked out in a rosé glittering gown at the gathering while Erivo, who acts as the wicked witch, wore a black tube gown embroidered with roses.

They were joined by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the highest-grossing film of last year in the UK, and received ten award recognitions, earning two for best costume and production design.
